Photos - Styling - Location - Weather

Here are all the images of which I took during my planned photo shoot with my model.
Photos and Styling:
All the photos above were planned precisely and all aspects were taken into consideration, I created a photo plan of the ideas and designs I had in mind. By planning out what I wanted my model to wear it gave me time and insight in to the effect and feeling I wanted her to give off through her appearence. I wanted to create a slighly modernised country girl rocker look but to tone it down by applying an acoustic guitar, making her look sweet and innocent yet edgy and cool.

Location and Weather:
Whilst planning my images I had to decide on the location which became a bit of an issue as I wasn't sure at first with it being the wrong time of year for a 'summer' feel for the photos whether I would infact be able to take them outside. So weather watch had to be ago for one sunset evening which would be perfect for the certain atmosphere I was searching for. I decided on the location to be the horse field and track which is located not far from my house, making it easy accessible and quick of use.

Interview Plan.

By using a semi controlled interview i hope to allow the artist to answer the questions free flowingly and give answers in which i can create a question from if not above you will find a selection of questions in which i intend to lead the interview from and above the questions is a template of which i plan to put in the opening paragraph of the double page spread interview.

Potential Photo Plans.

Here is just a range of shots, i plan to keep my photos to, just a rough estimate and guideline as to what i wish for them to look something like. I would also like for my model to be wearing some kind of short summer dress with working military boots on the give her that sophisticated, pretty and simple yet edgy look. but to keep all of the photos outside in a natural setting to give it the classy simple taste look.

Double Page Spread Mock Up.

I have designed my double page spread a little unconventionally as i have placed the main page on the right hand side instead of the left, i aim to have a full photo layered underneath the writing and to also have one on the left although just a little smaller underneath the interview.

Contents Page Mock Up.

Here is my mock up for my contents page i hope to keep my contents page very simple and conventional as i don't wish to complicate the layout to much as sometime they can become a little over powering when you open the cover.

Front Cover Mock Up.

This is my front cover mock up plan, as you can see i have placed my masthead down the left hand side of the magazine cover, i have done this because i would like to create a sense of unconventionality to my magazine but as they would be stood up in the stand at the shop i have placed a recognisable symbol at the top that i hope people will recognise and associate with that magazine the more popular it becomes. I shall place a full image behind all the puffs and plugs of a girl in a summer dress and working boots to fit my theme, i hope to make it look very sophisticated yet edgy at the same time.

Audience.

I aim to keep my target audience between 16 -19, although both male and female I would also like to keep it as quite a wide selection of music genre, nothing to abstract or unfamiliar just the songs from the charts and then the rest will span from there, ranging from Bassline and Niche to Chase and Status and The Kooks, I hope to also give the latest news and gossip in my magazine with new tour dates and new arrivals to our music industry. By using the Uses and Gratification Theory I hope to give them their consumption habits with a sense of diversion from the outside world as because being a teenager isn't all that fun sometimes and it's nice to escape, I also hope to give personal identity to help them realise who they are and what they want to make of themselves and model their behaviour. I am aiming to use a theme of a pretty girl, with a edgy side to her but also very innocent at the same time. Within my target audience I aim to target those who may have been brought up in a working class enviroment and therefore should fit the stereotype of, confident and asertive. This helps with choosing their favourite genre of music as they arent affraid to be different and try something new, even if other people dont like it, they dont care!! My target audience will most likely shop in eclectic trending stores of an affordable price, for examples topshop, river island, republic, zara, newlook. Im hoping for my audience to have a fair amount of 'spare' cash for things such like new downloads, and fan based products like posters, CD's, signings, books etc. My audience will probably be 'looking for love' as they can then relate to the certain type of lyrics that are being written. Im hoping for my audience to already be quite 'desensitised within the enviroment of the music industry as they wont be shocked or knocked back by anything yet to be aspirers as they want to make better for themselves.

Magazine Circulation

Magazines as a whole find it incredibly difficult to 'move with the times' as there isn't much you can do with a piece of paper, right? Wrong! There are so many ways in which magazine companies keep up their viewing numbers. Even though the sales numbers are likely to be rapidly dropped with all this 'new technological' gadgets. Magazine companies needed to find a way in which they could combine both gadgets and paper. This is where downloads, QR codes and links come in, with a QR code you can scan with your mobile devise and have links and / or your magazine with you there and then depending on the QR codes destination. Links through Facebook and Twitter allow a greater expansion on their advertisement numbers which is always good and this will also help them to view certain articles and news on the pages. Download codes are what we use in order to get special features and fan based products are limited edition products from our certain magazines, but by collaborating them online with the magazines website you are enticing the audience to search further into different eye catching content to the magazine increasing viewing and sales records.
